We are entering the age of "Conservation Art." Audiences are tired of doom-scrolling bad news. They crave beauty. are becoming the most powerful tools for conservation.

For centuries, humanity has sought to record the rhythm of the natural world. From prehistoric cave paintings of bison to the sublime landscapes painted during the Romantic era, nature has always been our primary muse. Today, this artistic evolution has culminated in two deeply intertwined mediums: wildlife photography and nature art.

At first glance, a wildlife photographer and a wildlife painter seem to use entirely different languages. The photographer captures a fraction of a second that already exists, while the painter builds an image from nothing over hours, weeks, or months. artofzoocom+exclusive

Unlike a passport photo, an artistic wildlife portrait places the animal within its emotional and physical context.

The term "exclusive" indicates that the most sought-after or extreme material is not publicly available. Users are required to create an account and pay a fee to gain entry. This system serves a dual purpose: it ensures a steady income for the site's operators and creates a perceived barrier that filters out casual visitors, fostering a sense of community among paying members.

At first glance, a wildlife photographer and a wildlife painter seem to operate differently. The photographer is often viewed as a documentarian of reality, while the artist is seen as a creator of interpretation. However, true masters of both crafts know that compelling nature art—regardless of the tool used—requires vision far beyond mere sight. The Myth of Objectivity in Photography

Wildlife photography and nature art are two sides of the same coin. One captures the fleeting truth of a split second; the other synthesizes a lifetime of observation into a single canvas. As our planet faces unprecedented biodiversity loss, these artistic mediums are more critical than ever. They are not merely decorative; they are historical records, emotional awakenings, and a collective battle cry to preserve the wild, untamed beauty of our world before it slips away into memory.

The tone should be authoritative yet accessible, passionate but not overly technical. I'll avoid listing gear or basic tips; focus on vision, philosophy, and technique with artistic intent. Use vivid examples like Nick Brandt or Ansel Adams. Structure with clear subheadings for readability, but keep the prose flowing like a feature article. Aim for around 1500-2000 words to feel "long" and substantive. Let me write. is a long, in-depth article on the intersection of . They crave beauty

For art intended to last for decades, look for and OBA-free (no optical brighteners) papers.

When people view a stunning photograph of an endangered polar bear navigating a dissolving ice floe, or a hauntingly beautiful sculpture made from ocean plastic, they are forced to confront reality. Images and artwork act as universal languages that bypass political and cultural barriers.

If your goal is , you must adopt the "leave no trace" ethos.

IYTTIW sample set

IYTTIW stands for "If You Think This Is Weird". A very unique set based on original trumpet samples. Its diminutive size packs a big sound. Perfect on its own or for doubling other sounds. I played and recorded some trumpet and made samples from the performance. I then resynthesized the samples to alter their timbral and spectral quality. In some, you can still hear the trumpet and there are others where their origin is well hidden.

It was originally a commercial set that is now free. It contains 41 regular multi-sampled programs without velocity. All are short sounds, no pads here. It's very well-suited for staccato playing and sequencing.

It has 551 samples for a small size of 15.7 MB and is offered in the following formats: wav, sfz, soundfont, Native Instruments Kontakt 3.5 or better (full version, not the free Player).

All formats are in this single DOWNLOAD

Kontakt 3.5 version additionally has 21 multis and 50 instruments made with the Tone and Time machines that greatly expand its sound palette. These stretched instruments usually have longer durations than the basic samples, 14 of them with sustain.

Here's an audio example using a few samples with pitch randomization:  IYTTIW in QuadZamp
